Aug 10th Vancouver, BC
We’re on our way.  I am not an early morning person; in fact, you could say I’m not a morning person at all.  However, today started with Dennis waking me up at 5:15 a.m. and arriving at DIA at 7:00 a.m.
Our flight was uneventful but both planes were filled to capacity, so there was no chance to S-T-R-E-C-T-C-H  out on either plane.  Once in Vancouver, finding our rental car was challenging.
Usually obtaining a reserved rental car is just a matter of waiting in line inside the airport terminal, finishing the paper work, and then outside to either walk to or shuttle to your assigned vehicle.  Not so in Vancouver!  After we disembarked from the plane we walked!  And we walked some more after picking up our luggage.  Where’s the car???
We left the terminal out into the open and following the signs, ended up at an escalator going up the parking garage and an elevator.  Where’s the rental car office?  We looked around; checking the signs, wondering where in the world was the rental car office.  After several minutes, Dennis found a sign, next to the escalator that had an arrow pointing to a sidewalk, on the side of the escalator.  YAY!  So we grab our bags, each of us pulling two bags, Dennis with his backpack and I with my purse, and followed the sidewalk down a sloping sidewalk to the basement of the garage where all the rental car offices were kept.
Dennis went into the office to get the car and keys while I waited with all the bags outside the office.  We were on our way. . ? . ? . ?  "Why won’t the keys work" and "this isn’t the car that’s listed on our rental agreement! " were our main concerns, here in Canada! So, while I stand in the parking lot where our car is supposed to be, Dennis went back to the rental office and got a rental representative to come out and help us hunt for our car.  Yes! Our car was located and after loading our bags we were on our way.
